Pet Owners

Wellness Care

All necessary preventative care is provided to members of Unity Animal Hospital in exchange for monthly membership fees. This care includes an annual examination, core vaccinations, and heartworm and fecal testing. Wellness care (as well as all other care that we provide) is also available to non-members.

Sick Care

Unity Animal Hospital provides comprehensive sick and emergency care. We have a complete in-house laboratory and a digital x-ray machine, allowing us to run bloodwork and take high-quality radiographs on-site. We are able to hospitalize sick animals that need more intensive care, although we do not provide overnight care.

Surgical Care

Surgical services offered include routine, elective surgeries (e.g. spay/neuter), as well as emergency, non-elective surgeries (e.g. wound repair, foreign body surgery, bladder stone removal, and many others). We have a CO2 surgical laser that is used to decrease pain and bleeding for certain surgical procedures. All animals undergoing surgery are connected to several types of monitoring equipment (pulse oximeter, blood pressure, temperature, and EKG) and are continuously monitored by a nurse. We ensure that all animals receive both pre-emptive and post-operative pain medication.

Emergency Care

The staff at Unity Animal Hospital is comfortable managing a wide range of emergencies during office hours. If your pet is experiencing an emergency, please call us before coming to the office so that we can be as prepared as possible for your pet’s arrival. If your pet is experiencing an emergency outside of office hours, please contact one of the 24-hour facilities using the button below:

Dental Care

Dental disease is a very common problem in pet dogs and cats. At every appointment, each animal’s dental health is assessed and discussed. Virtually every animal will need a complete oral health assessment and treatment (performed under anesthesia) at some point during his life, to address problems such as tartar, gingivitis, broken teeth, oral masses, and resorptive lesions. Unity Animal Hospital is comfortable assessing and treating almost all types of dental disease and can discuss anesthetic procedures in detail with you if necessary. We take every precaution to ensure that your pet receives the safest and most comprehensive dental treatment possible.

Hospice and End-of-Life Care

End-of-life care for pets often involves a series of difficult medical decisions. We are happy to guide you through all medical decision-making, including whether or not hospice is right for your pet. Hospice involves deciding to end all invasive diagnostics and treatments and to focus instead only on alleviating pain and maintaining acceptable quality of life. We also offer consultation regarding euthanasia. We can guide you through all of these difficult decisions to try to maximize your pet’s quality of life and to make sure that you and your family are comfortable with your pet’s medical plan.
