Dr. Abby Schutzman
Dr. Abby Schutzman is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. While there, she spent a significant amount of time as a volunteer surgeon for area shelters. After graduating, she practiced at Ardmore Animal Hospital (Best of the Main Line Award) and the Bucks County SPCA. Abby’s professional interests include soft tissue surgery, pediatric medicine, and shelter medicine.
Abby lives with her husband, son, dog (Pickles), and cats (Joe and Frito).
“While I enjoy caring for all animals, I especially like working with rescue and shelter animals. I appreciate the opportunity to advocate and care for animals who don’t have a family to provide and make decisions for them.”

Dr. Kathy Trow
Dr. Kathy Trow has been a successful veterinarian since 1994. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine (where she received the Feline Practitioners Award), she practiced in two of the most respected facilities in the area, The Cat Hospital of Philadelphia (Best in Philly Award) and for thirteen years at Ardmore Animal Hospital (Best of the Main Line Award). Kathy’s professional interests are geriatric medicine, surgery, and endocrinology.
Kathy lives with her husband; three children; Piper the dog and Zip, Mojo, Trixie and Goose the cats.

Dr. Sondra Lavigne
Dr. Sondra Lavigne graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2021 with a dual VMD/PhD degree. During her graduate education, she conducted research on the use of antibiotics in children and pets. She worked as an Associate Veterinarian at Aston Veterinary Hospital from 2021 to 2024 and joined our team at Unity in 2024. Her professional interests include dermatology, internal medicine, and behavior.
Sondra lives in Springfield with her husband, two children, cats (Apollo and Pippen), and dog (Millie).

Christie graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a BS in Marine Biology. After varied work experiences in Hawaii and Alaska, she moved back to Pennsylvania and started working in the veterinary field in 2006. Christie likes using her varied background to the advantage of pets, their human families and the staff of Unity Animal Hospital.
Christie lives with her husband and daughter and their puppy, Zeke.

Casey Mansor
Casey has over 15 years of experience in the veterinary field as a skilled appointment and surgical nurse. Her outgoing personality, compassion for her patients and depth of knowledge are a true asset to Unity.
Becca Eddy
Becca has almost 17 years of experience, and it shows in her confidence and skill set she applies to her position of veterinary nurse. Her quiet calm manner and ability to teach others have only enhanced our nursing staff. Becca is an asset as both a surgical and appointment nurse.
Maria Rice
Maria is a nurse assistant at Unity with over 4 years of experience. Maria is always moving and is willing to lend her team a hand in whatever way they need her. Her ability to jump in and help in all aspects of hospital operation makes her an invaluable member of Unity’s staff.
Maggie Huyette
Maggie has been working at Unity as an appointment nurse since January of 2022. Maggie’s positive attitude, varied skill set and willingness to be a team player make her an essential part of our staff. Her compassion and ability to interact with her patients and their owners make her a accomplished nurse.
Lisa Iannelli
Lisa joined Unity’s nursing staff in 2025 and immediately felt like a natural part of the team. With over 10 years of veterinary nursing experience, she brings a depth of knowledge that greatly benefits Unity’s patients. Her calm demeanor and excellent nursing skills are a true asset to our doctors and medical staff.

Kathy Faris
Kathy has been a receptionist at Unity for over 6 years. Kathy is that friendly voice you hear when you call the office. Her ability to multi-task and keep smiling during our busiest hours makes her essential to keeping our hospital machine running smoothly.
Dee Lydon
Ever since Dee was a child she wanted to work with animals. She has over 14 years of experience in the veterinary reception field. She loves to be the first face pets see when they come through the door. Dee’s affinity for organization and ability to juggle everything a busy veterinary practice can throw at her make her an indispensable part of Unity’s team.
Sander Adelsberg
Sander joined Unity as a receptionist in the fall of 2024. Despite having no prior veterinary experience, her strong communication skills, ability to learn new tasks, and talent for managing our busy reception desk quickly made her a valuable asset to the team.
Amy Kaczmarczyk
Amy began her part-time receptionist role at Unity in March of 2025. Her ability to juggle the wide range of tasks required at a busy veterinary hospital makes her a perfect fit for our team. With her quick smile and friendly attitude, Amy helps both clients and patients feel welcome.
